Standing in line

Got up early this morning to get in line early at the Social Security offices to apply for my number which you need for everything here. The queue wasn't too long and it wasn't long before my number was called. However the women then told me that she needed to see our wedding certificate. Nowhere on the application did it say I needed this. So off I went home again, a good half an hours drive and then came back. This time I had to sit over 2 hours to be seen. I did have a good chat with an American man who was in to get a copy of his work history. We chatted about Mexican food and his time in the navy. I should now get my Social Security number in a couple of weeks.

Danny at Emily's work told me where I could by at 220v step-up transformer, since I will need it for my PCs, etc. The place is in 'Little India' a quite large area of Indian business and I saw some other places to try for curry.

On the way back home I stopped off for an ice-cream since I hadn't eaten yet today and am still don't have an appetite. I bought two and surprised Em at her work with one.
Since I'm still not a 100%, Em has had to make the food for her department's Friday breakfast. She made Lemon and Poppy seed muffins.
