A change for lunch

We went to a Vietnamese restaurant today for lunch - anything to escape the chicken! It was good bar one or two strange looking meat things. One was a parcel thing and I took one bite then had to give - oouw it tasted odd! Cecelia kindly pointed out that there was an animal hospital between the Vietnamese and the Thai place! My main course was good, I had spicy beef (I hope!) and pea leaves on noodles, not that I managed those.

We are all waiting in anticipation at work as one of our colleague's partners is about to give birth to their first child and things have been getting closer everyday! We thought it had happened this morning because he was all of 10 minutes late for work, but no again! Maybe next week.

This morning we started our Friday morning team breakfast. Cecelia was the first one to do it as it was her idea, and she has given us a high standard to follow. She baked amazing cinnamon buns and we had cheese and bread. It was great, although I was starving by 8am! With all the food I have eaten today it is probably a good thing I went swimming and have just had scrambled eggs for dinner.

We had a wee shower of rain just before I left work but it had resulted in one accident on my little roads I go on. However, nothing too serious and all you do is go around it as best you can. It looked like one of the cars had run the red light!

Tonight, I am doing nothing and it great, but very boring!
