Because we had to watch so much food being cooked, we were both starving by the time we came out of the cinema (plus it was over lunch), so we went off to Laura's favourite brunch place downtown called Farrgo's. It says it does world wide, breakfast, cuisine so there was scrambled eggs with Scottish smoked salmon, Mexican dishes etc, and I had hummus and tabbouleh. The food was great, and Laura had their bottomless Mimosa's (I was driving!). Mimosa, as I discovered the other day, thank you to Stuart, is a posh name for bucks fizz! I took my first doggy bag or rather container home with me as there was just too much hummus so I now have dinner for another night!
I still needed to buy a new bikini, not only has Laura been teasing me for its saggy bottom, but also I discovered the other day it is now see through! Not good!!!! Anyway, because it is apparently the end of the summer, not for a Scot I hasten to add, all swim wear is really reduced so I got a good bikini (hopefully, not see through) for $20, bargain :)
On our way to the shopping mall we drove into a huge rain shower and I asked Laura to take some photos. The road was one big puddle in seconds and fortunately nearly everyone slows down, because you can't even see the lane markings. It was my first experience being on the freeway in heavy rain, but it passed quickly, less than five minutes, and the road was back to being bone dry again.
I am now back home preparing myself for the week ahead. I cant believe it is Sunday night already.
