Rain, Rain, Glorious Rain

What has happened to the over 100F temperatures and drought. We have had thunderstorms for the past two days. Last night, just as I was going to sleep, there was a dramatic lightening display and the thunder was pretty 'awesome', shaking all the windows in the house again! Since we are on the lucky thirteenth floor you get an excellent view of storms coming in. The rain got so heavy you could see more than a couple of feet out the window as the storm past overhead. Afterwards, there was a really weird cloud that I tried to take a photo of.

When I got back home this evening I found a victim of the rain in my pool. I had lots of fun poking him to get him in a good photographic position!

But what is this brown lump of stuff also in the pool?!.................

I went around and fished frog and lump out and got my hair bobble that was still at the bottom of the pool from the weekend. I also got up on my step ladder to clean the gutters which keep over flowing, however, they are really bad. I need to find something better than a broom to clean them! Mind you, I might first see if there is anything in my contract to see who is responsible - me or the landlord. Maybe I will ask his handy man to do it! Actually, the handy man should be coming around tomorrow to have a look at the sprinkler system to check for a leak - we will see if he finds anything.

Stuart said I am boring because all I have had to talk about this week is the gym so I am not going to mention I had my first proper session with my fitness trainer tonight :)
