I don't think we found the proper path in George Bush park but it was an adventure, and I have a photo of us on top of the dam around the nature reserve. Since we were out of trees by this point, it was starting to get hot! In all, we cycled for about 1.5 hours, taking it easy. My odometre said we covered 14 miles, but I think I might have to verify that. All I know is, when I got back to the house, all I wanted to do was jump in the pool and that is what I did!
Later on in the afternoon I had guest. Cecelia and the doggies, Lucy and Rita came for a swim and then Laura arrived later in the afternoon. The dogs were not as keen on the water as I first thought they might be. Rita is a cocker puppy who has grown enormously fast since I last saw her but was her first experience at swimming. She knew all the right stokes, dogie paddle, but was still not sure. As for Lucy, a very fluffy dog, I thought she was going to jump in from the side of the pool, however didn't, but when she got in also wanted out very quickly. Lucy was funny though as because she is really fluffy when she got wet she looked like totally different dog!
When it got too hot, the dogs went inside, but the girls remained in the pool. I feel like a prune now, as I think I have been in the water since before two finally making it out at about 10pm! Laura and I have BBQ burger ( sorry Danny!) for our dinner and it was great. I cant believe how good our new kitchen accessory has been already.
Well, it is well past my Sunday night bed time so I must retire x.
