The Days are packed

Day five and things are still very busy. All day yesterday was spent shopping. I managed to organise my mobile phone with a US number, though as I said there other day I have to pay to make and receive phones calls. I also bought a garage door clicker. After programming it I was feeling pleased with myself, but then closed the garage door locking it behind me and realised that the house keys were still in the car. Because I had just come back from the supermarket I was able to enjoy some beer, tortilla chips and salsa while I waited from Em to get home.

Dinner was experimental as I had been shopping at Fiesta, the Mexican supermarket. First I cooked some Prickly Pear Cactus paddles, which are a bit like sorrel flavoured runner beans. For dessert we had the Prickly Pear Cactus fruits with lime juice and chili powder. Em didn't like the paddles, but quite liked the fruit.

Woops! Driving back from the gym tonight I turned left at a stop sign, turned left and drove on the right side of the road only to realise that the car behind me didn't follow, but went on another parallel road. Arrgh! I was on the wrong side and had to quickly manoeuvre though a break in the centre. Luckily it was a quiet road and there was nothing else coming. Em was in her car behind shaking her head.

Off to looks at cars tomorrow.
