Still feeling in a bit of a groggy because of jetlag and just have to get through the next couple of days. It was great seeing Em in 'real life' after two and a half months. It was so hot when I got to our house that I had to jump in the pool to cool down even though it was raining. Em joined me, but protested that the pool was cold. She has become a wimp since leaving Scotland :)This morning we got up early and walked along the bayou before the main heat of the day and then we went to pick up my new (temporary) car. The afternoon was spent with me trying to get enthusiastic about shopping but still in a daze so will have to go for more shorts and summer shirts next week. Back to the house for another swim. A bit chillier than yesterday, but still warm compared to an inside pool in Scotland.
Just waiting for Laura and Chris and then off to dinner.
