Locked Out!

Poor Stuart got woken at 5am this morning as I have decided to go to the gym a couple of mornings a week, but since I need to be at work for 0730 it means an early start. It was great, except for all my yawning for the first 15 minutes! Although, I have to say I am definitely feeling the early wake up this evening, I guess on those days I need to go to bed earlier the night before.

I was in a course all day, which I had forgotten about and have another day of it tomorrow. It is a good course, however, with everything else going on at work it is not the best timing! However, I am sure I will manage.

At lunch I did a demo for the girls with my new ability to touch the floor with keeping my legs straight (I know, you can do it easily!) Last night, my trainer got me to try and touch the floor with straight legs and I was a couple of inches off. He then made me lean on the arms of a chair and tighten my abs, pushing down on the chair. I did this for about 30-40 seconds, then tried to touch the floor again. I could do it! I don't know how or why it works, but it does. The girls were amazed as well! However, I don't recommend doing straight after eating!!!

Stuart had a busy day running errands. He managed to get himself a US Sim card for his mobile phone so that will be much easier to stay in touch. He also managed to get a second garage door opener so he can be the true Houstonian and not get out of his car! However, he will tell you all about his adventures separately.

I got home this evening to find him sitting at the outside table with all the shopping and a beer in his hand. I was surprised especially as it was reasonably warm and you always want to get the shopping straight into the fridge. He had got out of the car and locked the garage behind him, only to discover the house keys were still in the car! Locked out week one, and setting the alarm off, he is doing well so far!!

Stuart prepared me some 'Prickly Pear', cactus paddles, tonight for my dinner. It was spiky, and I could hear the swearing as he was handling it! It was apparently meant to be a bit like runner beans, and treated in the same way. Well, to Stu's disappointment, I was not convinced, as to me it had a slimy texture and didn't taste of much. I have been told I am not adventurous enough! I think he will be testing me again on something else!
