Scottish Weather Hits Houston

Stu managed to sort out the car insurance for a more decent rate than what we were quoted yesterday. It is now just double what we pay in the UK! So we are now just waiting for the cheque to clear and then we can go and pick up the new car.

The weather today was decidedly Scottish. I drove to work in the rain which is very uncommon. Looking out of the window at work it was dark until about 0830 this morning. Stuart has definitely brought the bad weather with him :) He phoned me later in the morning to say the street was totally flooded and he was watching one of the neighbours sitting in the cul de sac deciding whether to brave the weather. Stuart got board watching them in the end!

The weather continues to be poor even this evening. I got goose pimples when I walked out of work - I might have to take a cardigan tomorrow!

I have now finished our fundraising web page for our 'Ride for Roses'. I don't know if you will be able to sponsor us from the UK, but maybe someone could be nice enough to give it a go and start us off :) We have to raise $250 each, so every little bit will help. I will probably be emailing you as well - just warning you!!!
